"Olga Neuwirth delivers bold, raw, sometimes disturbing music, where anger and anguish mingle. Drawing on the worlds of David Lynch, Paul Auster, and Elfriede Jelinek, she shakes up conventions. The 35th edition of the Présences Festival highlights her creations, confrontations with her masters such as Pierre Boulez and Tristan Murail, and surprising forays into the worlds of Franz Schubert and Klaus Nomi.
